An idle thought, in Sangli, about an idle socket.
PlugsPoint didn't start with a dead battery or a parking lot argument. It started in Sangli, with a simpler observation: most sockets sit unused most of the day, while EV owners without home charging keep circling for one. The idea sat around for a while before it became an app worth building — and Bengaluru, with its fast-growing EV base, felt like the right place to test it first.
The problem we're solving
India has 4 million EVs on the road and a public charging network that hasn't kept up. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of home chargers sit idle for 20+ hours a day. PlugsPoint is the marketplace that connects the two — turning private infrastructure into shared utility, one verified charger at a time.
What we stand for
Metered, not guessed
Every session is logged by the kWh. No flat rates, no rounding up, no surprises on either side.
Trust before scale
We verify hardware before it goes live. A listing that doesn't work is worse than no listing at all.
Instant settlement
Hosts get paid the moment a session ends. UPI, automatic, no chasing.
Queue over booking
No wasted slots, no no-shows. Intent-based queuing is fairer for everyone.
